As one of the very few American musical art forms, the Barbershop Quartet is truly a cultural treasure. Its sound is completely unique and My Three Sons (Stephen, and sons Nathanael, Michael & David) are a world-class Barbershop Quartet.
With Michael singing lead, Stephen singing bass and Nathanael & David alternating between baritone and tenor, My Three Sons Quartet has become renowned for their tight harmonies and wide scope of a cappella and barbershop music. Performances by My Three Sons also include the solo talents of Stephen Ditchfield and Michael Ditchfield and provide a wide variety of musical entertainment from comedy and old-fashioned barbershop harmony to heart-felt love songs and moving ballads (See Video Samples Below).
In 1998 the State of Florida - Sunshine District - was first introduced to this one-of-a-kind quartet. With a 10 year old lead and a nine year old tenor, they won the men's statewide Novice Quartet Competition and 5 years later in 2003 they were crowned the Men's State Champions with Michael and David at the ripe old ages of 15 and 16 years old!
In 2007, at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention, they achieved the distinction of a 34th place finish against the top 50 quartets in the world. Now on hiatus from International Competition, the quartet travels performing at Barbershop Shows, Conventions, Special Events, Parties and Entertainment Shows with concerts ranging from 20 - 75 minutes.
